Snowman Ornament

These ornaments were made with purchased plastic ornaments.  These are easily found at many stores and very inexpensive.  I usually find them at Target or the dollar store.  We used white, acrylic paint to paint each child's hand.  Tempera paint doesn't stick to the plastic.  We put the ornament in each child's hand and had them gently squeeze.  An egg carton works super to dry the wet ornaments! 

After it was dry, we had them decorate each finger and thumb as a snowman.  We used paint type markers for the children to decorate the ornament.  Sharpie markers tend to have trouble writing on the sick surface.  You can use a pipe cleaner or holiday type cord as a hanger.
