This is a collection of ideas that can be used as homework activities or as individual skill practice in the classroom.  There are ideas for helping you set up a Homework Plan that can be used for each week throughout the school year.

 March Homework Project

The Home Project for March is decorating a shamrock.  All of the patterns and directions are given in an easy to print, PDF format.  A letter to the parents is also provided for helping their child with the project.  A banner, "Lucky Shamrocks!" can be printed to use for bulletin boards.

Week 1

Homework activities for the first week of March concentrate on Dr. Seuss and "Read Across America" to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday on March 2.  Here are a few samples for the first week.

Week 2

Week 3

Week 4

 

 

The fourth week of March homework includes handwriting practice, phonetic practice in sounding out consonant-vowel-consonant words, a math addition worksheet and telling time.  Also included is a fun activity of students completing a historical timeline of their life in pictures.  This also has a writing activity to go along with the time line.  The samples below are given in low resolution, but the PDF files you will receive will print clearly.

 

 

 

        

The March Homework Package includes four weeks of homework and a special Shamrock Home Project for a total of more than 30 pages.   Each of the weekly packets have at least five activities.  These pages can be used for homework or in the classroom for skill work.  The package is available for $15.
